Radio Program for Environmental Education
Baobab Learning Center hosts a weekly radio program dedicated to environmental protection and sustainable agricultural practices. Each broadcast highlights a specific tree species, sharing its nutritional, medicinal, or health benefits, along with practical information that supports family well-being and environmental stewardship.
The program has helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting natural resources, and communities have reported a noticeable decline in the cutting of trees. The show’s reach extends far beyond the immediate area—BLC has learned that women and men gather to listen each week even in communities located more than 200 kilometers away.
By using radio as a tool for education, BLC is able to share knowledge widely, reinforce sustainable practices, and support long-term environmental health across the region.
