Annual Women’s Conference
Baobab Learning Center hosts an annual women’s conference that brings women together to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another in a supportive and empowering environment. The conference creates space for dialogue, collective growth, and the strengthening of women’s voices across communities.
Approximately 150 women from the cooperative and surrounding villages participate in the one-day event each year. Through workshops and discussions, participants engage on topics such as women’s roles and rights, leadership within families and communities, entrepreneurship, microfinance, and building peaceful societies.
The conference also highlights the strength of women’s leadership across sectors. All speakers are women, including local leaders such as the city mayor, a school principal, and the president of a women’s church group. By elevating women’s perspectives and experiences, the conference reinforces the critical role women play in shaping positive and lasting change.
